Is there anyone here formerly of the "Annointed"?
by Low-Key Lysmith ini'm sure this question has been asked here before, but i was wondering if someone would care to enlighten us as to the undeniable "sign" or occurence that makes folks believe that they are of the annointed class?.
....or am i asking too personal a question?.
i've always been really curious as to what happens to these people to make them believe this beyond a shadow of a doubt.. apparitions?.

What is the process of being a JW Anointed? Is there some kind of ceremony? Is there a test?

It was Demonized so it was taken down back in 1975, but then there was new light so it was moved to another site.

Stupidest thing a JW ever told you
by Nosferatu inwhat is the stupidest thing a jw ever told you?
we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.
for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

Intelligent People on this Forum
by BenV insomeone had a thread about "smart people" in their congregations.
while i readily admit there were some "good," and "kind" jws in the congregation i grew up in.
and maybe it was the location -- my dad was asked to move there -- but for the most part it was an intellectual sahara.. yet i've noticed that on this forum there are some incredibly "smart" people.

My JW Daughter Was Invited to Speak At Church Youth Rally
by snowbird inshe is being looked up to by many in our little community as a beacon of hope for the other kids.. she excelled in her classes in school and at college.
she doesn't do drugs, doesn't stay out too late at night, and is always respectful toward adults.. my daughter tactfully declined the invitation.
i am so sorry i got her involved with the jw's.. sylvia.

well maybe her being a good kid had nothing to do with the JW's maybe she had a really awesome mom, after all I know Elders kids who did drugs, smoked, and skipped school

It took some time it was really hard since I was underage and still living at home with my parents, but dispite all the beatings and things taken away from me, I stood my ground. I didn't try and use any books, writings or scriptures to make my stand I just told my parents and "elders" that I didn't want anything to do with the JW's However, I did have support from my worldly friends parents, they were so very nice and understanding, I think because of their love and support I was able to leave. It took me leaving home at 17 and just starting my life for them to understand that I wasn't just inactive or going through one of those Teenage phases. I wish I had this website, but I did have other friends who were once JW's and we had our own little support group, but in my family I was the first to leave I thought everyone hated me, little did I know a few of my cousins thought I was a hero for having the balls to leave.
